Reliable hall system - heat always available

In autumn 2016, Linka delivered a biomass plant to Orupgaard Estate on Falster. The hall system, and the associated buffer tank, ensures constant access to CO2 neutral heat.

The estate, located in central Falster, is primarily engaged in agriculture, forestry and horse transport. The estate has around 1,200 hectares of land and a number of buildings associated with it. These buildings are used, among other things, for renting.

Orupgaard uses the plant to heat their chicken houses, the main building of the estate and its rental houses. Furthermore, the heat is also used for drying the goods.

The plant

The plant consists of an 800 kW Linka H boiler and the well-known Linka straw chopper with 21 meter conveyor. A straw auger transports the straw to the boiler, which means that the plant can handle straw of varying quality.

At the front of the boiler, a movable staircase is fitted, where the supply of heated combustion air, using Linka's world-patented combustion technology, ensures total combustion of the straw.

The associated PLC control ensures that the system runs optimally and that an alarm is issued in the event of any operational disturbances.

With automatic ash removal, the ash is transported from the plant into the 2.5 m3 ash container, located outside the building.

A buffer tank has been installed for the system to ensure that hot water is always readily available.

Contact Claus

"We chose the Linka system because we saw that it was really streamlined. It was a huge efficiency improvement compared to the plant we had. And we got even more excited about it because some really, really good people came out from Linka and installed the system. The service and follow-up afterwards from Linka has been superb."
