The controlled shredding of the bales ensures a consistent supply of straw for the subsequent process.<\/p>\n<p>Fuel is pulled upward by the shredder\u2019s drum, where it is shredded into smaller pieces before falling into a trough on the opposite side. At the bottom of the trough, two augers\u2014one right-handed and one left-handed\u2014transport the straw to a common, centred discharge point in the middle of the shredder.<\/p>\n<p>Beneath the discharge, either augers or a chain conveyor can be placed for further processing; the choice depends on the capacity and overall layout and application of the plant.<\/p>\n<p>When the shredder is used for boilers, the TWIN shredder operates based on the boiler&#8217;s heat demand. If fuel production is too low, the drum speed increases\u2014and vice versa.<\/p>\n<p>The forward movement of the conveyor belt increases along with the pressure on the drum rollers, which is based on amp measurements of the rollers, until the desired oxygen level percentage or capacity is achieved.
