Together with Linka\u2019s patented combustion technology, this ensures maximum fuel utilization. The overall system control is managed by a CTS system, which initiates the boiler\u2019s start sequence via a start signal.<\/p>\n<p>This once again demonstrates the integrated interaction between the control system and the associated technical components.<\/p>\n<p>The wood chips are automatically transported via augers from a walking floor, which is activated by a signal from the boiler control when the boiler&#8217;s feeding process is initiated. The wood chips are then conveyed via augers into the boiler.<\/p>\n<p>The walking floor consists of multiple scraper frames that move the chips to a cross auger, where right and left augers transport the fuel to a central drop chute, monitored by photocells. If the augers run empty, hydraulic cylinders are automatically activated. The system is designed for forest wood chips and can handle varying loading heights, adapting to specific needs.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text uncode_shortcode_id=&#8221;995089&#8243;]Inside the boiler\u2019s combustion chamber, a movable step grate is installed, divided into three combustion zones to minimize slag formation. The step grate elements are moved by an electric actuator. Linka\u00ae\u2019s globally patented system, utilizing a co-current combustion air principle, improves both efficiency and emissions performance.<\/p>\n<p>The flue gas from the boiler passes through a Linka\u00ae 3 x 2 multi-cyclone, significantly reducing dust emissions before being released through the chimney.<\/p>\n<p>Ash is finally transported to the new 1.2 m\u00b3 ash container, which can store approximately eight days\u2019 worth of ash at continuous full load.
