Lendemarke District Heating

Stable and sustainable heating for consumers

CO2-neutral heating in the radiators

With E.ON as a partner, Lendemarke Fjernvarme has invested in a new biomass plant that supplies sustainable district heating to around 350 house-holds. The new plant from Linka Energy is 15 % more efficient than the previous plant.

The biomass plant is supplemented by a solar cell plant that delivers approximately 22 % of the heat used in Lendemarke.

The plant

The new plant consists of a 2,500 kW hot-water boiler that exclusively uses Danish-produced wood chips as fuel. The wood chips are delivered to a storage bin, after which they are fed into the boiler via an auger system. The ash that is a by-product of the incineration, is subsequently used as fertiliser. The patented combustion solutions in the plant are based on Linka Energy’s know-how and international experience.

A flue gas condenser, which is connected to the system, helps to cool and clean the flue gas before it is led out of the chimney. The emissions in this flue gas are below the statutory environmental requirements that will come into force in 2025.

The plant can operate unmanned for 72 hours, which is of great importance to the operating staff. At the same time, the plant can be monitored and controlled through remote access, which is connected to the staff’s telephones and computers. Through this remote access, Linka’s service department can also quickly support and guide the operating staff.

“The reason we chose Linka was because we could save on man-hours and that the plant could be delivered at the time we wanted - and that the price was good.”
