”Plug & Play” biomass plants
Sustainable, container-built heat and process plant
At Linka Energy, we have designed a mobile ”Plug & Play” container-built central heating and process heating plant that can be used for customer groups such as agriculture, industry, institutions, district heating plants, and similar locations where a stable heat source is needed, either permanently or temporarily.
Linka’s ”Plug & Play” biomass plants can be delivered as all types of central, district, and remote heating plants, as well as process plants for industrial use.
Linka also offers delivery with a generator for the plant’s own electricity consumption, making the plant independent of the surrounding supply infrastructure.
The biomass plant is designed either in a standard container (typically 20-40’ shipping container) or as Linka’s specially built steel container for larger plants.
The container can be transported wherever it is needed. Furthermore, it’s possible to combine multiple Linka container modules based on the heat demand.
The mobile container-built energy plant is quickly installed, meaning it’s quickly ready for use. You avoid disruptions, allowing operations like factories or heat production to continue undisturbed.
By choosing a mobile energy plant, you also avoid significant expenses for things like construction or renovations that would typically be required to accommodate a boiler system.
All plants undergo careful test runs and quality assurance before leaving Linka’s production facility:
This is your assurance that the plant operates optimally.
The Boiler System
The boiler system is based on a Linka H-boiler, delivered with Linka’s patented combustion technology, ensuring maximum fuel utilization.
Linka H-boiler systems are designed as multi-fuel units capable of running on various types of fuels, providing you with an affordable and CO2-neutral solution for many years to come.
The Linka H-boiler has been used by Linka Group for decades and was originally developed as a boiler for straw-fired
systems.
Based on this, the boiler can utilize a wide range of challenging biomass fuels that would cause issues in other boiler systems, including significantly reduced lifespan, inefficient fuel utilization, and environmental challenges.
You can therefore utilize the residual products available in your local area – because as we say at Linka:
Local energy is sustainable energy.

Plant types
Linka’s ”Plug & Play” solution can be delivered for various applications:
- Hot water plants
- High-temperature water plants
- Steam plants
In standard configurations, the plants can be delivered up to 16 bars(o) with all necessary associated equipment. For high-temperature water and steam plants, solutions are often provided with an economizer, which reduces heat loss in the flue gas, resulting in higher fuel utilization efficiency. Additionally, our steam plants can be supplied with corresponding feedwater systems and condensate treatment, along with fully integrated control of the system.
Regardless of the application, our ”Plug & Play” container-based boiler systems operate on a fully automatic principle. The control of the plant is carried out remotely via smartphones and computers.
Linka also provides similar container-based solutions for more permanent silo-based setups, conveyor systems for bundled fuels, and Linka’s in-house developed scraper solution for wood chip storage. Furthermore, the boiler is equipped with an automatic ash removal system, where ash augers transport the ash from the boiler to an ash container. The size and number of ash containers depend on the plant’s size and the fuel handling solution agreed upon with the customer.
